I’ve been working hard recently, focusing on writing three (yes – 3!) grammar books. I enjoy grammar, but I’m looking forward to moving on to something new. I hope to publish the books over the next month.
For a bit of fun, this morning I had a go at the grammar test that is taken by children in England at age 11. When I went to school in England, we were taught no grammar at all, so I was interested to see what the new test involves.
Would you like to try the test? Here’s the 2023 paper. You probably won’t know all of the grammar terms used here, but then, do you need to? If you struggle with grammar, you may enjoy Zigzag English’s grammar books, which cover the essentials in a fun and practical way, without mentioning terms like “fronted adverbial”! Available on Amazon (you can follow the links from this website) from June.
